Saxon Math Course 3 is a comprehensive math textbook designed for 7th or 8th-grade students, intended to be used after the completion of either Saxon Math 8/7 or Course 2 and before entering Algebra 1. Saxon Math uses a spiral approach, employing incremental development of new math concepts and continuous review of previous concepts. This book consists of 120 lessons plus 10 investigations organized into 12 sections (see table of contents below).

Each lesson includes practice exercises and problem sets, along with cumulative reviews to ensure students have a firm understanding of previously covered material. The book provides ample opportunities for students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, making it a valuable resource for both teachers and students. Additionally, the book includes real-world applications of mathematical concepts, encouraging students to see the relevance of math in everyday life. Overall, the book aims to prepare students for high school math courses.

*Note:* This book appears to have been discontinued by the publisher. My Math Assistant recommends using Saxon Algebra 1/2 instead of Course 3 if your student needs more preparation before moving to Saxon Algebra 1.

Our video lessons teach your student the concepts found in the Saxon books and provide additional examples - a perfect complement to the book lessons. Learn more and see sample videos here...

Foster more independence in your students by allowing them to grade their own Saxon Math lessons and tests without handing them the answer key! Save yourself from the mountain of papers to grade and allow your students to get immediate feedback and correct their work themselves. *(Saxon books are required to use this feature.)* Learn more...

Automatically integrate math facts practice into your child's routine without anything else to grade or keep track of. Customize the practice for exactly what your student needs. Learn more...
