Saxon Math 6/5 is a comprehensive math textbook designed for 5th or 6th-grade students, intended to be used after the completion of either Saxon Math 5/4 or Intermediate 4. Saxon Math uses a spiral approach, employing incremental development of new math concepts and continuous review of previous concepts. This book consists of 120 lessons plus 10 investigations organized into 12 sections covering topics such as order of operations, fractions, decimals, percents, integers, divisibility, probability, reciprocals, square roots, and more (see table of contents below).

Each lesson includes practice exercises and problem sets, along with cumulative reviews to ensure students have a firm understanding of previously covered material. The book provides ample opportunities for students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, making it a valuable resource for both teachers and students. Additionally, the book includes real-world applications of mathematical concepts, encouraging students to see the relevance of math in everyday life.
