Rather than an introduction to physics (i.e. basic/general physics), Saxon Physics is an engineering physics course. A scientific calculator is needed for the course. Students will be most successful with this course if they have completed at least the first half of Advanced Mathematics or some other pre-calculus book that includes trigonometry.
Physics is equally appropriate for average and gifted students. The entire program is based on introducing a topic to a student and then allowing them to build upon that concept as they learn new ones. Topics are gradually increased in complexity and practiced every day, providing the time required for concepts to become totally familiar.

Foster more independence in your students by allowing them to grade their own Saxon Physics lessons and tests without handing them the answer key! Save yourself from the mountain of papers to grade and allow your students to get immediate feedback and correct their work themselves. (Saxon books are required to use this feature.) Learn more...
