3rd edition
Saxon Math 76 is a comprehensive math textbook designed for 6th or 7th-grade students, intended to be used after the completion of either Saxon Math 65, Saxon Math 6/5, or Intermediate 5. Saxon Math uses a spiral approach, employing incremental development of new math concepts and continuous review of previous concepts. This book consists of 138 lessons covering topics such as order of operations, functions and coordinate graphing, integers, number lines, decimal place value, exponential expressions, prime factorization, finding the percent of a number, rounding decimal numbers, geometric solids, and more (see table of contents below).
Each lesson includes practice exercises and problem sets, along with cumulative reviews to ensure students have a firm understanding of previously covered material. The book provides ample opportunities for students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, making it a valuable resource for both teachers and students. Additionally, the book includes real-world applications of mathematical concepts, encouraging students to see the relevance of math in everyday life. Overall, the book aims to prepare students for more advanced math courses in the future.
Note: This book is an older edition of Saxon Math 7/6. Both editions will work with My Math Assistant.
