Saxon Math 54, 2nd Edition

2nd edition

Saxon Math 54 is a comprehensive math textbook designed for 4th or 5th-grade students, intended to be used after the completion of either Saxon Math 3 or Intermediate 3. Saxon Math uses a spiral approach, employing incremental development of new math concepts and continuous review of previous concepts. This book consists of 141 lessons covering topics such as number sense and numeration, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, simplifying fractions, decimals, basic geometry, measurement, integers, estimation, probability, and displaying data (see table of contents below).

Each lesson includes a warm-up section, teaching of the new concept, practice exercises and problem sets, along with cumulative reviews to ensure students have a firm understanding of previously covered material. The book provides ample opportunities for students to develop their problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities, making it a valuable resource for both teachers and students.

Note: This book is an older edition of Saxon Math 5/4. Both editions will work with My Math Assistant.
